When family issues and the legal system weigh heavily on my clients' lives, I calmly and respectfully guide them to make their best decisions. Then, they can move on to the next phase of their lives. First, I listen to my clients and help them to determine their current and future priorities. We then work together to develop a plan to meet those priorities and goals based on what is best for them supplemented by my experience with the legal system.

I tailor my representation and guidance to each client. Having practiced in the area of family law for over ten years, I recognize that no two clients are the same. Hearing and listening to my clients are both important, as each client has different needs and goals. I care about my clients and their futures. I strive to provide them with personal, one-on-one attention to their legal needs. I partner with my clients and help them to understand their choices so that they can make knowledgeable decisions. I choose to practice in the area of family law because I enjoy working directly with people and helping them to move forward through difficult times to the next phase of their lives.

When selecting a family law attorney, I believe it is vital to choose someone with focused experience and skill who can handle the complicated legal issues involved. It is also important to select an attorney with whom you are comfortable sharing personal details of your history and who gives your legal matter the attention it deserves.

Professional Commitment:

I am involved in organizations in both the legal and greater St. Louis community that work for positive change in family and other legal matters. As a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL), I served as the chairperson of the Young Lawyers' Division (2003-2004) and on the Board of Governors (2003-2008). I investigate and arbitrate fee disputes for BAMSL when clients and attorneys cannot agree on legal fees and costs. I serve as a volunteer for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (named a Volunteer Lawyer of the Year in 1998) as well as for Legal Advocates for Abused Women. I am a board member of National Council of Jewish Women, an organization that works to improve the quality of life for families. I also serve as a Guardian ad Litem for children in family cases in St. Louis County Family Court.

Education:

Emory University (B.A. 1992)
Washington University School of Law (J.D. 1995)
Licensed in the state of Missouri since 1995

Born: Nashville, Tennessee
